Back to school means back to reading for kids.  Books can positively impact kids interest in school and open up their minds to newly discovered worlds.

Here’s a list of some of my favorite books by Dr. Seuss, sure-fire hits for kids. Dr. Seuss books are not only timeless, but their writing style keeps kids' attention and usually have underlying messages of positivity.

The Lorax
This book is probably one of the best books by Dr. Seuss. Talking about how greed and extravagance with little regard for nature could lead to chaos. This aims to support saving the planet and leaves a powerful message that “Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better.” Kids will realize how important it is to stand up for a cause, create positive change in the world and realize that they can be the first step towards goals of improvement.

Oh, the Places You’ll Go
This classic book talks about going out to see the world and marvel at its wonders. The far out places and strange creatures existing within these pages are adorable, making this story-time memorable.

Hop on Pop
If you want your kid to have fun and come to love reading, this book is a great start. Kids love the silly rhymes and goofy illustrations while parents love the encouragement to count.
