I’m a lucky lady and I know it. My (half) brother is French, so I have an excuse to travel to France every few years to see ma famille (and who needs an excuse...I mean, really). Of course, no trip to France would be complete without a stop in Paris, and I’m here to share my favorite shops for the littles with you! I just returned from my trip, fresh with inspiration. If you can’t make it to Paris don’t fret, as many of these shops have e-boutiques, so be sure to check out the links. French style is completely attainable from the states!
5 BOULEVARD DES FILLES CALVAIRE
This three level concept store is a must-see, even if you don't have children. The uber-chic boutique is impressive, housing their ready-to-wear clothing, decor, party supplies, toys, and even a hairdresser for the littles. Brought to you by the retail genius behind Bonpoint + Merci, inspiration can be found in every vignette. Don't miss the vintage photo booth!
22 RUE YVES TOUDIC
Steps away from Canal St. Martin, you can find my new personal favorite. The modern space is packed with handmade treasures, locally sourced goods, and eco-friendly designs. The shoe selection alone is worth a trip-I brought back the most amazing boots for Marie + Henry. Selling brands like Oeuf, Bobo Choses + Blabla, you can't go wrong.
BONPOINT FIN DE SÉRIES (OUTLET)
42 RUE DE L’UNIVERSITE
If you're a sucker for classic French fashion (like I am) but can't quite handle the price tag on the latest Bonpoint fashions (like myself), then this outlet is your jam. Take your time, as there are great finds from previous collections in every nook + cranny, at 30-50% off original price (and yes, it’s still expensive). Visit the main store on Rue Tournon for a treat.
MORE PARIS FAVORITES
50 RUE JEAN-PIERRE TIMBAUD
A hidden gem recommended to me by my friend Lindsey...I met the lovely designer Sophie + fell hard for her whispy hand-dyed dresses. I'm resisting the urge to keep this one as my little secret!
81 RUE DU CHERCHE-MIDI
Eclectic modern decor for kids (and adults), housed in a renovated garage in the 6th.
36 RUE DE SÉVIGNÉ
Well-priced knit basics and stylish staples, with a broader selection than in the states (obviously). This particular store is my favorite location, as it is across from the beautiful Musee Carnavalet. There are however, many locations throughout Paris, including outlets.
52 AVENUE DES CHAMPS-ÉLYSÉES
The French equivalent of Target...cheap + chic. The flagship store is on the Champs, but there are many others scattered throughout the city...the best kids selection can be found in the larger ones.
