DIY Smoothie Popsicles

Laura Jilizian has joined us for a super easy DIY Popsicle post just in time to cool off your weekend with a healthy snack. 
Basic Steps// I basically made one of our go-to smoothies and froze them as popsicles. So essentially, you could pretty much use any ingredients you had on hand or substitute anything you really love.In our Vitamix, I added in approximately:

  • 2 cups of Original Silk almond + coconut milk
  • A little over a cup of frozen pineapple chunks
  • A little over a cup of frozen antioxidant frozen fruit blend (mixed berries, pomegranate seeds + cherries)
  • A couple tablespoons of shredded coconut

Blend until smooth.
Pour into popsicle molds and freeze for six hours.

The trick to getting the popsicle out of the mold: take them out of the freezer and hold under running hot water for a couple of seconds until the popsicle easily slides out.
We didn’t add any extra sugar to these, so they’re not super super sweet. You could always add a TBSP or two of honey if you prefer yours to be sweeter.
Pro tip: add spinach to your smoothies too to sneak in some extra veggies!
